Long overdue: Comm Ave

That's right, folks. It's Comm Ave, comic phenomenon that ran weekly in the Daily Free Press. For those of you who aren't aware of this brilliance, me and dozens of other students on campus would dash for the paper every Friday to see just what H. Grande had in store for us this time. The comic had everything. Incisive wit. Biting satire. Dramatic suspense. Quite simply, it was perfect.

My love affair with Comm Ave began late in the fall semester. I remembered seeing the comic throughout the year but had never paid much attention to it. And then, one afternoon at lunch with Felix, I saw this. We stared at it until lunch was over, trying to find a hidden punch line or some other kind of joke we didn't get. We found nothing. It just was.

There were other brilliant Comm Aves to follow, no doubt. But nothing she did after surpassed the sheer awesomeness of this one. So I'm just going to post it and leave it alone. Comm Ave, everyone.
