Chris tries to read "Pride and Prejudice" for the third time


Mr. Darcy danced only once with Mrs. Hurst and only once with Miss Bingley, declined being introduced to any other lady, and spent the rest of the evening







































Mr. Darcy was writing, and Miss Bingley, seated near him, was watching the progress of his letter, and repeatedly calling off his attention by messages to his sister.
"How delighted Miss Darcy will be to receive such a letter!"
He made no answer.

















































She could not help frequently glancing her eye at Mr. Darcy, though every glance convinced her of what she dreaded; for though he was not always looking at her mother, she was convinced that his attention was invariably fixed
