Besides apologizing, what would you like to say to your constituents?
SENATOR
I hope they can separate the man from the politician. I have always spoken out strongly against piracy. And despite my own personal weaknesses, I would never condone sacking or pillaging seafaring vessels. Jeff.
REPORTER (V.O.)
Do you have anything to say in your defense.
SENATOR
Just that I made a mistake. There is no excuse for plundering a cruise ship and setting it on fire. I understand that and all I can do is apologize.
REPORTER (V.O.)
Will you resign?
SENATOR
I’m not sure yet, but aye, that be a possibility.
