OK, so this is a table game I played in my dream last night. Naturally, I'm going to make this a reality.
The game is played on a beat-up old piece of plywood. There's a small white circle in the middle of the board and several more on the edges. In each circle except for the one in the middle, there is a small pair of socks--small enough to fit on the end of your fingers. Everyone takes a pair of socks.
The object of the game is to put the socks on your fingers and race them from your circle to the middle of the circle. HOWEVER--and here's the catch--you can't go TOO fast, or else the socks will scuff up the plywood (as socks are wont to do in real life...?)! And then you lose.
The table, by the way, is smaller than the average billiards table. The races didn't last very long.
We played a couple rounds. I lost every time. It was hard to play, because you couldn't tell if they had scuffed up the table on the way to the winner's circle, because the table was scuffed up from previous games (they were real scuff-marks).
