The acting coach and the empty chair (abandoned)

The acting coach told me to emote in the direction of an empty chair, placed across from me on the stage.

"You stupid chair!" I shouted. "How dare you!" I saw my classmates taking notes; usually this is a sign that a performance is being well-received. It "took me out of the scene" and I had to start again.

"You motherfucking chair!" I shouted. "I hate you! You're so stupid! I AM SO ANGRY!"
